The application deadline for this year’s FFIPP Summer Internship Program has been extended until March 20th, 2018!
FFIPP is a non-governmental and non-profit educational network for Human Rights in Palestine/Israel. It is a network of international students and faculty whose main goal is to get students acquainted with the different components of the conflict allowing them to later engage in various forms to seek the end of the conflict and a peaceful coexistence in the region. To achieve this, we offer students worldwide the opportunity to participate to our summer program. During this 5-week program, you will first attend an orientation week which consists of conferences and meetings with various actors in Israel and the Palestinian Territories. Subsequently, you will intern at one of our partner organizations for a duration of four weeks. These internships are, above all, an opportunity to observe, gain a better understanding of the situation on the ground, and discover local structures acting towards the promotion of human rights. Such access to experts, members of civil society, and organizations on the ground make our program different from any other. Don’t miss out on this unique experience!
The programm will take place from July 8th to August 12th. Accommodation throughout the entire stay will be provided by FFIPP, leaving you with the responsibility of financing your flights, food, and other personal expenses.
As an educational network, we offer you opportunity of first going to Palestine/Israel and then staying actively involved in our organization for the coming academic year. Back in Europe, FFIPP organizes events, exhibitions, and conferences to raise awareness about the conflict and share insights and experiences gained from the summer program at the local level. We strongly rely on the involvement of students when they come back in order to achieve this. Thus, it is important to understand that FFIPP provides a one-year experience at the beginning of which you go to Palestine/Israel for five weeks, rather than a simple internship. We also encourage our members to stay active after their one-year commitment in order to coach and support new interns in their engagement and provide them with the best experience.
Students in all majors are welcome to apply. As a first step of your application, please fill out the application form in English (no more than 200 words per answer) and read the conditions of participation. The completed application form should be sent along with your CV in English to firstname.lastname@example.org before March 20th, 2018, at midnight (previously: March 15th). Please use the subject line “Summer Program Swiss Chapter”. Pre-selected candidates will then be invited for an interview.
Feel free to contact us for any additional information.
We’re looking forward to getting to know you!
